About Wiz:
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, at a time where hip-hop really had an impact. I originally wasn't a fan of rap music during my younger years because I was under the impression the music was all negative, but once I got to high school I discovered a rapper who goes by the name of Lupe Fiasco (You may have heard of him!) and my entire world was flipped up side down. I knew there was more to hip-hop than what I was being exposed to, so I immediately sought out to give it a chance, and what a chance I gave it.
It has now become my favorite genre of music, and my love for it has grown so much over the years. I chose to write for Oh.Globe because if I wanted to express my love for hip-hop, whether that be by informing others, or just promoting what I believe is great music. On this blog, however, my posts will be focused more on the mainstream aspects of hip-hop, rather than the underground. Nonetheless, I plan to share and enjoy my time here with you all. It's gonna be a great ride!
